Do you know how to properly install a trench heater?

Correct installation of floor convectors is crucial to ensure optimal performance of our products. Here are a few tips to achieve trouble-free and long-lasting operation.

Floor selection

MINIB floor convectors are designed for installation in various types of floors. Beforeordering, it is essential to determine whether it is a solid or hollow floor.

Installation in Solid Floor

Proper embedding of the convector is important to prevent the formation of air bubbles under the floor, which can cause increased noise.

Installation in Hollow Floor

If you order a convector designed for a hollow floor, we recommend the followinginstallation steps:

a) Use of reinforcement - provides better shape stability

b) Use of anti-vibration foils - serves as protection against vibrations and reducesimpact noise. For convectors with fans, it is necessary to use anti-vibration foil.

c) Custom solution - we offer 3 types of anchoring legs up to a floor height of 500 mm - we will help you choose the most suitable one according to your needs.

Convector Orientation

If the convector is the main source of heat, we recommend orienting it towards theroom. This ensures the fastest heating response and heat transfer efficiency in the most used parts of the room.

As an additional heat source, especially for large glazed areas, where it prevents glassfogging and creates a thermal barrier against heat transfer from the space behind thewindows, the convector is oriented with the exchanger towards the window.

Connection

We are happy to advise you on any convector connection, and of course, we offersuitable connection kits.
